- Please sign the new petition calling on the council to reverse its decision to lease Hailey Park land for a sewage pumping station, or keep a lookout in the community as volunteers are out and about taking signatures too.
It is our view that there have been flaws in the planning processes: therefore Llandaff North Residents Association is now raising funds to support a legal challenge, to fight this decision and protect our park for the community, for nature and for future generations.
- We are currently fundraising for legal fees to fight this development (if we don't fight this then a precedence is set and who knows how much more WW will develop on Hailey Park or on other parks throughout Cardiff. Nowhere is safe anymore!). You can either donate below or may be find ways of helping us to raise money through cake sales, tabletops, carboots etc.
- Please contact as many people as you can but be respectful in all your contacts with them while getting across how you feel about this development on our park and what questions you have (please bear in mind also that most council officers do not make decisions in the council and are not the enemy!). Community campaigning
Over previous weeks, many in the community have been out campaigning, making banners, speaking to journalists and then councillors from all parties, appearing on TV, in the press, delivering leaflets, even eating curry to help fundraise for legal fees. Young and old, two legs and four, and the bits in between all have a passion for Hailey Park.
