- Welsh Water want to construct sewerage pumping station with an associated compound within Hailey Park near the Ty Mawr entrance (as you go into the park from the Ty Mawr Road entrance along access road to changing rooms it is proposed to go o the left, opposite the entrance to the older stone dust carpark).
- They want to connect the compound to the existing access road into the park. The compound will include internal kiosk units with security fencing and landscape planting around it on 3 sides. This is being done to prevent landscape impacts on Hailey Park. However, we will know it is there anyway, particularly during autumn and winter as they want to plant deciduous trees around it - as we know these trees will lose their leaves in autumn and we will then have the big reveal each year just to remind us!
- Over the river, WW want to develop another kiosk in de Braose Close, Danescourt. This would include a 1.2m tall actuation valve kiosk upon overgrown scrubland adjacent to the eastern pedestrian footway,
- Basically they will put sewage piping 15 metres underground, from Hailey Park through to Danescourt, including under the River Taff.
- The development will take approximately 2 years to complete, which includes destroying the vegetation next to the access road leading to Ty Mawr Road gate.

It also gives reasons why park users and residents objected to this development. It still leaves us all with many questions, questions that still haven't been answered.
